The virus has spread.
In a moment of pure chaos, the majority of the Earth's population has become the walking dead. One man promises to help bring the truth to light.
The lies have spread.
When journalist Jacob Plummer is infected, Jacob turns to the written word to not only ease the pain of change, but to bring to surface a truth far deeper and deadlier than anyone could have imagined.
The truth must now be spread.
With the help of a rag-tag group of survivors, Jacob helps to fight off the growing undead horde in hopes of saving himself and the planet from the rot growing within.

Jack Wallen has a goal -- to become the Zombie King. He won't do that by dining on the brains of helpless victims. Instead he will write and write until his fingers and mind are nothing but meat for the beasts. During that time Jack will produce works of zombie fiction that are both enjoyable and cringe-worthy. Of course, being of the insane writer clan, Jack isn't just happy with the penning of zombie fiction. Oh no, the nightmare does not end there. Like the late, great Freddy Mercury, Jack wants it all -- so, he will continue writing his Fringe Killer series as well as his joyous celebration of all things diverse -- Shero. For his inspiration to begin reading and writing, Jack thanks the ever-incredible Clive Barker for penning in a genre with words of grace and horror.
I also asked Jack to tell us why Zombies over Unicorns:
Zombies > Unicorns
Why zombies? Why zombies over unicorns? Seriously. Let's get something out of the way first -- they both exist. Right? They have to. There's just too much written and filmed about them to prove otherwise. But when push comes to shove, which of the two would win in a cage match? Or, which ranks higher on the awesomescale? To answer that question, we must turn the microscope around and shine that beacon of science onto the audiences and fans of each "creature". The fans of Unicorns tend to be little girls graduating from "My Little Pony", paint rainbows on their fingernails, and listen to Selena Gomez. The fans of zombies tend to be little boys graduating from the tormenting of ants with a magnifying glass, painting model Chevelle's with primer, and listen to GWAR. Unicorn fan lives in a world of mythical magic where Tinkerbell fairies flit about crying "It's a small world after all'. Zombie fan lives in survival mode where it's kill or be killed. Zombies are tough, bad-ass monsters who'd play dirty in a roller derby match. Unicorns, live by a code of conduct that includes never harming the innocent. Unicorns are horses with horns. Zombies are humans stripped of their souls. Unicorns? Zombies? It's clear who bathes in the River Awesome and it's not the great grandfather of My Little Pony.
